Freediving often means exploring crystalline waters to see and discover the wonders of the ocean, but this is not always the case…
For around 14 years in Neuchâtel, during the first weekend of July, a freediving workshop has taken place in collaboration with Océane Plongée. The numerous participants, after static and dynamic apnea exercises in the pool, practicing breathing, turning, swimming with fins and trim techniques, then head to the lake to dive.
Diving to the depths of the lake is not a means of exploring the lake bed, the waters are fairly dark with limited visibility, but it is a means to look within and explore oneself, with mastery and self-control over one’s own body. In the end, even if often a bit cold, everyone is surprised at how simple and relaxing it is, holding your breath and diving down head first, following the cable.
