This time I'll talk about my dive experience in Thailand with Seabees.
My adventure in Thailand started with Thai Airways. Everything was pink and purple on the plane, even the stewards were dressed in these colors. They offered a good service and I was comfortable - I think that's very important if you have to fly for more than 10 hours!
I have to thank Martin Helmers from Miss Adventure (formerly 'Seastar Discovery') for the opportunity to go to Thailand. Miss Adventure is an action and modelling competition. Four were selected from hundreds of applicants to go to the final in Thailand and I was one of them. We had a tight program, but the most beautiful thing that I always think back to was the diving!
My first time diving with mantas was in Thailand
It was like time stood still. The mantas moved as if they were in slow motion. They weren’t the biggest examples, as Seabees owner Holger told us later on, but they seemed gigantic to me. Such majestic animals!
My first encounter with mantas was a very exciting experience for me. They radiate calm yet strength. I am still speechless today and I hope to have the honor of diving with them again one day.
In general I loved Thailand so much, the people I met were so warm and kind, the food was spicy but so good and you discover wonderful nature again and again, both above the water and certainly under it.
